Ongoing charity

Building a well: ongoing charity par excellence.

A well is offered only once—but it rewards endlessly. This is the exact meaning of the Prophet’s hadith ﷺ:

“When the son of Adam dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity (sadaqa jâriya), knowledge that benefits others, or a righteous child who prays for him.”

— Reported by Muslim

Water is the first of these ongoing acts of charity: every sip drunk in the village, every meal prepared, every field watered continues to weigh on your scales—in your lifetime and after you.

A reward that flowsCalligraphie « sadaqa jâriya », l’aumône continue.
